Argh. Finally finished Murciélago first release. T__T (Or as
 says "Take that, Japan!" ..... ) Debuted at Tekkoshocon last weekend (4/3-5). Got first prize journeymen division (I entered in novice) and a judge's award in the cosplay competition. (Only, I picked a con that had no prizes, lulz.) No one told me to go to the "fashion show", so um...I kind of missed it and had to be passed around by staff to get my certificates. Argh. I have only entered cosplay one other time...so I had no idea what was going on. T_T I could go into long details about this costume....so instead of boring you, I'll answer questions if you have them. Thanks to for coming to my house a shit ton to help me run fabric through and get the damn thing done. |

The wings are made of a light wood frame that folds in and out. The black part is a "glove" of sorts made out of felt. You can't see it very well in this picture, but I sewed individual "fingers" into the wings, and those are just long thing pieces of wood sewed into the wings.
